In this difficult historical period, We the Armenian Nation and Diaspora are calling on Ruben Vardanyan to become the leader of Republic of Armenia, turn Armenia into developed, modern and successful country open to the entire World.

We are calling on Ruben Vardanyan to become Armenia’s leader because he has these merits:

• Indisputable love to Armenia that he earnestly demonstrated multiple times;
• Excellent human and business qualities;
• The necessary network with Armenians and friends of Armenia around the World, and the highest level of trust both in the West and in The Russian Federation;
• Visionary qualities and the knowledge to consistently turn Armenia into a developed and successful country.

Gold Medal graduate of Yerevan’s High School No. 20, Ruben Vardanyan founded the investment banking firm Troika Dialog when he was 23 and grew it into a market leader in the entire territory of former Soviet Union and beyond. He is the co-founder of Skolkovo International School of Business. Ruben also completed more than 160 major international projects in areas such as charities, education, social investments, managing and consistently developing cultural sites, preserving the heritage of humanity.

Ruben Vardanyan has never been part of political groups in Armenia or in other countries. He never pursued political power. Countering the destructive politics run by both the former and current leaders of Armenia, he did his best for completing the social, educational and humanitarian projects for the Homeland, including:

• UWC Diligan College, the first internationally ranked school in Armenia that has the best faculty and students from 46 countries.
• The Aurora Humanitarian Initiative and The Prize for saving human lives around the World. It has been ranked among the best Award Initiatives along with the Nobel Prize.
• The Tatev Revival, reconstruction of the Tatev Monastery, its preservation and maintenance to the international standards. The project ensures the revival of life and science traditions in the monastery. It included the construction of the longest cableway in the World called ‘Wings of Tatev’. The number of per year visitors to the region grew by 8 times.
• The co-funding of the construction of the temple for The New Nakhichevan and Russian Eparchy of The Armenian Apostolic Church. It is now the largest spiritual and educational building campus of the Armenian Apostolic Church outside of Armenia.
• The funding and managing the work for international recognition of the 1915 Armenian Genocide in Ottoman Empire.
• Social and cultural infrastructure rehabilitation in Artsakh.
• And many other projects.

We realize that Ruben Vardanyan has never pursued political power before, and we entirely respect his principles and values. Our country is now in a situation where the politics is split between completely distrusted old corrupt regime and the current leaders who caused the country’s deepest military, political, humanitarian and economic catastrophe in decades. We believe that now is the time when we cannot be indifferent. We are sure that Ruben Vardanyan can lead Armenia and bring it to success. We hope that he will cast aside any doubts and will take this responsibility.

By signing this petition, we are calling on Ruben Vardanyan to accept this challenge and become the leader of Armenian Nation, create brand new political, economic and cultural environment of success for Armenians in Armenia and beyond.
