Today at 1.45pm I will be presenting my campaign for Helen’s Law to MPs at committee room 21, House of Commons. This meeting is to raise awareness and gather support from MPs prior to Conor McGinn MP raising a ten minute (private members’ bill) in the House of Commons on October 11. The number of signatures on my petition on change.org/Helenslaw now stands at more than 341,000. I am thrilled to let you know that there have been more developments in Australia. As you know, the No Body No Parole law was passed in Southern Australia last summer. We have just learned that it was passed in Northern Territory last month (June 2016). Campaigns are also underway in Victoria, Western Australia and Queensland. If such a law can be passed in Australia – a fellow Commonwealth country – surely it can be passed in the UK?
