The Consultation closes at 11.45pm tonight. The latest figures from UKHSA surveillance week 41 report shows that for the adult working age population, over three quarters (75.8%) of all infections are now within the double vaccinated population and hence account for 75.8% of all pre-symptomatic carriers, which for Delta is the key period for transmission in the workplace (as distinct from households as incorrectly applied by the Government). Also, updated figures are the asymptomatic cases are 13:1 in the same population for double vaccinated compared with the unvaccinated. The website www.patientrisk has been updated.

Don't worry if your medic has not been vaccinated or if they have just had one jab, as they won't be working if symptomatic but importantly they do understand transmission including where there are no symptoms and so they will be regularly testing themselves, especially the double vaccinated. A plea to all double vaccinated readers to keep testing yourselves, especially if around vulnerable people.

Let's hope that Government come up to speed with transmission in the workplace, the transmission specific to Delta, and do not pointlessly add significantly to the staffing crisis as we head into winter.

Try to keep fit and well, remember it is time for vitamin d. Thanks for your support.
