Good morning

I’m delighted to say on Friday 26th October we got one step closer to the Soft Opt Out system being introduced in England. The Organ Donation (Deemed Consent) private members bill passed its third reading in parliament on Friday thanks to MPs Geoffrey Robinson & Dan Jarvis:

Since passing its second reading back in February it has been tweaked - details added to it, and it flew through the committee stage in September. It should end up in the House of Lords, but the next hurdle it faces prior to that is the “Report Stage” where MPs review the amended bill.

We’re getting there slowly but surely. Please keep your fingers crossed

A huge thank you for all your continued support, and to Max Johnson and his wonderful family who brought the issue into the spotlight with his media campaign:

This young man has just received a very well deserved Pride Britain award

Kindest regards
