Cardiothoracic Meeting

Hello Everyone :)

Just a quick update to say today I was lucky enough attend the bi-annual Cardiothoracic meeting as a patient representative.  Once again I was blown away by the knowledge imparted. It made me realise there’s many issues facing the transplant world. But luckily the one we’re all concerned about - introducing the Soft Opt Out system is progressing well.

Max’s Law has passed it’s first reading in the House of Lords, and will have its second reading on 23/11/2018. After it goes though a few more stages in the House of Lords including the:

1. Committee stsge

2. Report Stage

3. Third and final reading.

Then any last amendments are considered & it’s finally given Royal Assent to become law!

Congratulations again to 10 year-old Max Johnson who made this possible �. It shows you can achieve whatever you put your mind to - age is not a barrier.
