NHS Organ Donation Campaign Facts revealed Today!

Today the NHS Organ Donation Campaign revealed that in the past year the number of deceased organ donors dropped for the first time in 11 years! Although 2013/2014 was a record breaking year for the number of lifesaving transplants performed it still wasn't enough to give everyone on the list one as 1300 died or became too ill whilst waiting for a transplant. Although 4.,431 peoples lives in the UK were saved or improved by a transplant in the past year, the fact the current number of people still on the waiting list stands at 6943 and is ever growing just demonstrates why I feel the "Soft Opt-out" policy is our best option. This petition is appearing in my local paper on Thursday - I am going to let them know the current total on Wednesday. Let's go for 500 signatures! So please keep sharing this.
