Its not about private or public.In our country every company flouts rules.If u go back around 6-8 months ago all operators mainly airtel and Vodafone approached TRAI to let them charge watsapp messages and such OTT apps as they were losing revenues.Finally TRAI agreed and started consultation which would have definitly made into a directive or law.however Aware netizens put up a huge protest.It gathered attention and TRAI said “We drop this proposal finally and that no operator should in future even consider this as they have the option to factor this in their data pack pricing”. Now see what Airtel did.They not only implemented it but is challenging TRAI.TRAI’s silence is really deafening as they arent even responding to this. Now other operators are waiting and watching.Should Airtel get away with this they would soon follow and slowly arm twist TRAI to turn this legal.Finally every single operator will implement this. This would be just the start.We Indians would slowly no more have freedom on Internet.IDEA,Airtel,Vodafone,Bsnl etc would decide what u should browse and in which way.Thats why net-neutrality matters.Today if we keep quiet.we would be the losers at the end.People with power and money will still have access to internet without any restriction as we see in our society today.I dont want this type of “POLICED INETRNET” and so are many others who have signed up.Its not about pvt/public or scams.Its about our rights..ur.mine and everyone elses.
