They are looking to sue me for defamation!

A letter from their lawyers "We act on behalf of Aravindd Pty Ltd trading as Animal Care Vet Hospital as well as its directors, Mr Steven Sivaji and Dr Shiyamala Sivaji. Our clients conduct the business of a veterinary surgery. Our clients have provided us with evidence that you have claimed, amongst other things, that our clients "neglected" animals in their care and that such animals were "exposed to infection from the lack of sterilised surgical equipment". Our client has informed us that you broadcast the abovementioned allegations to the public via an online petition published on the website Change.org as well on social media platforms including Facebook. Our clients are deeply distressed by, and strenuously deny, the abovementioned allegations and we are of the view that they carry clear defamatory imputations. Hence our clients now require you to provide a written undertaking to the effect that you will forthwith cease broadcasting the allegations whether via Change.org or at all. Our clients also require you to provide a list of any other persons or organisations in respect of which you have broadcast the allegations and a written letter of retraction (the terms of which shall be prepared by our clients) will need to be issued by you via Change.org as well as to any other person or organisation to which you have broadcast the allegations. You are required to agree in principle to the abovementioned matters by email by 5pm on Thursday 14 April 2016. In the event that we do not have your agreement in principle by then we will recommend to our clients that they commence defamation proceedings against you without notice. In those proceedings we will be seeking, amongst other things, an urgent injunction against you. We are further instructed that the allegations published by you have had a deleterious impact on our clients’ business and in that respect our clients expressly reserve the right to make a claim for damages against you." MY RESPONSE: Sean, They are liars. I have a statutory declaration that has been provided to lawyers regarding my experiences there. I am disgusted that they continue lying and hiding up what they have done. I encourage your clients to continue matters as we are seeking NSW Government support and we will keep fighting until “Dr” Shama is no longer in control of a veterinary practice or practising on animals. I was disgusted with what I saw when I worked there, however I credit that clinic for turning me off vet nursing to finding my true passion in animal welfare.
