Meghan Markle was given a world stage for her interview and abused this power. 

I have been advocating mental health for over a decade now and feel very strongly about mental health care for people waiting on long NHS waiting lists.

Since the Meghan & Harry interview, I have felt so strongly about the negative impact this interview will have on people who don’t feel able to speak up for themselves and who cannot access support.

Meghan spoke out and said whilst she felt suicidal, she was not able to access the help she needed. This sends out such a bad message globally. Her husband advocates for mental health charities and they have money and power to access some of the best doctors and private treatments. There has been a lot of time which has passed since she felt like she did. Meghan could have used her financial status and global platform to make a better and positive impact instead of an interview which was answered with speculative replies and misinformation. Harry and Meghan could have used their alleged negative experience with mental health access and formed a suicidal helpline or forum where people can access help.

Instead they gave an interview which left a lot of unanswered questions and many vulnerable and fragile people with mental health illnesses and difficulties feeing like they cannot get the help they need if Royals were not able to access help.

I have been verbally attacked online by people who cannot see past the woke culture and have accused me of not knowing what I am talking about. This is the effect Meghan is having on society and it is not acceptable.

I have a number of diagnosed mental health conditions and regularly suffer suicidal ideation and self harm thoughts. I’m 40 years old and have suffered with this most of my life. I have been raising awareness for well over a decade. If I had a global platform and the influence Meghan has, I would not be using it for such a negative and half answered speculation. She has allowed a significant amount of time to pass without fighting for better mental health care in the U.K. which is what I would do if I had the money and platform to do so. I know first hand how frustrating and poor the NHS mental health care is here in Wales.

Meghan has done nothing but made people feel frustrated, angered and upset by her attitude and fickle approach to all this.

Therefore if she is not prepared to do positive royal duties, her royal title should be removed.
