Keep Seething Wells SINC status

The Issue

We call upon Kingston Council to keep Seething Wells Filter Beds status as a SINC (Site of Importance for Nature Conservation) borough importance grade 1.

In a report published today (9.2.21) into our Borough's SINCs, as part of the council's Local Plan - which identifies sites across the borough for development Seething Wells Filter Beds have been identified as at risk of losing its status. This is a direct result of the Council turning a blind eye to the destruction of the site's important habitats at the hands of its owners. Local residents have watched on in horror as vegetation has been attacked by everything from machinery to swimming pool bleach.

Please sign this petition and tell the Royal Borough of Kingston Council that this isn't good enough - the site shouldn't lose its designation because of their failure to act.
