Pondering closing this petition down.

I've tried sharing this petition with the North Carolina governor, Roy Cooper, sent him an e-mail letter via the Contact Form on his official website, left a phone message to him about it, have not gotten any responses in either manner back from him!  That's a political office for you; they don't really get anything done!  Perhaps I am plain stupid for desiring this.  Can I help it that I am just not able to get any work?!?
