On Monday, June 29th, the University notified students via email: “All graduates, whether you participated in the May virtual program or will join us in person for the July Commencement, will receive an invitation to May 2021 Commencement Week. As we monitor the COVID-19 pandemic, no Commencement plans for 2021 have yet to be approved.” One of the options outlined in this petition was for the University to consider proving graduates the additional option to attend next year’s ceremonies.
