An email sent by Rowan University’s Commencement team announced that Class of 2020 graduates will be invited back to participate in Commencement Week next year.

“All graduates, whether you participated in the May virtual program or will join us in person for the July Commencement, will receive an invitation to May 2021 Commencement Week. As we monitor the COVID-19 pandemic, no Commencement plans for 2021 have yet to be approved.”

One of the options outlined in this petition was for the University to consider providing the Class of 2020 the option to graduate next May. Although the email states no plans have been approved (yet), the invitation still stands! 

Thank you all for making your voices heard, for signing and sharing. The Class of 2020 deserves the extra opportunity to celebrate our achievements and this wouldn’t be possible without every single signee.
