This information, also available through the County’s Accela Citizen Access website, reflects the current review status of the proposed 212-Unit Development and confirms the review process remains ongoing.

Community Update: The current petition status, including total signatures and documented community concerns, has been formally submitted to the Charlotte County Commissioners and Planning & Zoning. Sharing this information emphasizes the substantial level of public engagement and reinforces community concerns regarding the potential impacts of the proposed 212-Unit development in Rotonda West.

Primary concerns/issues include: 

• Traffic & Infrastructure Impacts
• Compatibility with the Existing Single-Family HOA Community
• Flooding and Stormwater Management
• Zoning, Easements, and Rotonda Plaza Right-of-Way (ROW)
• Protected Species and Environmental Impacts

We have respectfully requested that all documentation, letters, emails, and correspondence submitted by Rotonda West property owners be carefully reviewed and fully considered as part of the County’s evaluation process.
