Petition updateSAVE DOLPHINS, PORPOISES AND SEALS FROM SCOTTISH SALMON FARMSLAST CHANCE TO STOP LOSS OF WILDLIFE PROTECTION AFTER BREXIT

David & Jean AinsleyOban, SCT, United Kingdom
Dec 17, 2020
The final debate of Scotland's EU Continuity Bill (henceforth the Bill) is on the 22nd December.
The Bill will appoint a watchdog to replace citizens' right to free environmental justice from Europe. The closure of the Firth of Lorn SAC to scallop dredging and subsequent recovery was the result of such a complaint to Europe.
There remains a crucial loophole in the Bill: the watchdog will not have the power or duty to address complaints from citizens when laws protecting wildlife are not enforced.
Please click on this link to ask your MSPs to vote to amend the Bill to close this loophole.
If you contacted MSPs at an early stage in the debate, thank you, it is valuable to contact them again on this issue.
