Hi everyone,

Please come with farm animal onesies, hats, masks, puppets, toys to Stratford Old Town Hall from 6pm prior to the LBN Full Council meeting re. the budget. Other groups supporting our campaign among others will be there in force but we need a high SNCF campaign presence, please! 
Our questions and deputation have been declined with the excuse that it’s a special Budget Council, which means that the public have been denied access to the “democratic” decision-making process for 1/3 of a year! 2 of our questions from the November Council have not been answered, there was no Council in December or January, the February is just about the Budget and our deputation was denied Zoom access to the 8th February Cabinet at which the rehoming of animals and the interim report on the Beckton Parks Masterplan consultation were discussed. Cabinet Member James Asser, responsible for the Beckton Parks Masterplan and closure of Newham City Farm was asked how he had engaged with the SNCF campaign team and he quoted occasions but not with which superficial tokenism, how delayed, reluctant, dilatory, uninformative, patronising, arrogant, obstinate, narrow-minded, short-sighted and even bullying and hostile this engagement had been.

We have not met anyone in the community who believes in the closure of Newham City Farm or the Beckton Parks Masterplan. 

Please continue to support this campaign as in these pre-election times, we have a strong position.
