I would like to share a comment with you that was posted on the steam forums and my response to this thiis was posted by the member Rudolf Jan For those interested: this is what BNSF replied to me: Hello Rudolf, I am contacting you in regards to the email below. Unfortunately, our licensing agreement with dovetail is for domestic U. S. use only. In order to provide international use of our brand and logo, BNSF would have to register our trademark in every country. That would in turn mean we would have to devote extensive resources to a team that would manage our image and branding worldwide. Additionally, we would then have to collect royalties on any product that uses our branding and logo, which we currently do not do. I hope this information answers your question. Thank you for your support. Ben Wilemon Community Affairs Manager 817-867-6422 BNSF Railway Of course this not a very valid answer. You cannot forbid others, if you have no rights. I think the point is they can forbid DTG to use the logo inside the US and enforce in this way that DTG does not use it outside the USA. my response the "agrrement" between BNSF and DTG i most likely as following "You are allowed to sell our brand in the US territory, although we can't say anything if you would choose to use it outsside this territory, we will revoke your rights within the US to see your BNSF branded product" this is the only viable answer and DTG decided to give one group of players preference (the , in their eyes, largest group of their customers) above the others....you know......greed and this means the petition has a chance of succeeding if enough people, US and non US alike tell BNSF and DTG this is not the way to go follow the discussions at http://steamcommunity.com/app/24010/discussions/3/527273452875917239/
