Statement with regards to the petition from Mavadelo Hi all I would like to start with thanking all the people who have given their support and signature to the petition. It is much appreciated and it shows that the TS community to be a friendly and nice group of players that actually do care about what happens to this game and it's content. Especially thanks to our US community members that had nothing to gain but stood by their fellow simmers in this. Although I hope the situation never arises I am sure that it will be the other way around if needed as well. We are a week away from release of Train Simulator 2016 and I have decided that as far as the petition goes, we did what we could and it really has no use pushing this any further. This is fully my own decision, no pressure or influence from DTG has been placed on this and in fact I have to thank the moderator team for allowing this on the forums and to Jay for his involvement in the discussion. He, and DTG, could also have opted to simply close and remove any topic that deals with this and it speaks for them that they have not taken that path. The main objective of the petition was to get DTG and BNSF back at the negotiations table. Unfortunately this has not happened. I know that the people at DTG have seen the petition and I am pretty sure that given the chance they would have gone back to that table if BNSF would have responded as well. Unfortunately BNSF has decided to leave it at the “official response” that many that wrote to BNSF have gotten in their mail. Any effort to contact them has been blocked at the lower levels. I have tried several ways including but not limited to email, social and business platforms, telephone and snail-mail. When a response was given it was the same response as we already have seen. Although I have not gotten a reaction on the snail mail yet I don't think the response in this will be any different. Did we lose? Yes and no Yes, the intended goal has not been reached, DTG and BNSF are not talking about this and so far DTG has not shown any intention to return to actively pursue this again anytime soon. When it comes to BNSF, well it seems clear they have no interest in this community and in extend DTG. It is simple, if you don't respect the community you don't really respect the developer either. DTG might take note of that. No, we didn't lose. We have shown DTG that we have a community that cares about their product, a community that does not just let things happen and that does not just takes no for an answer. It knows they have a community that is wiling to fight for their simulation. Frankly I think DTG is secretly very proud and how they say..chuffed with all of you. I am sure they will remember this a next time license negotiations with “a brand” are in place, this will play in the back of their minds and will be taken in consideration. I also hope that next time they will inform the community better than they did now and they will avoid a brand having the need to demand immediate removal of content. If DTG can be blamed for anything it is the fact that they could have seen this coming when they had to remove the BNSF named DLC. It is kind of naive imo to think that if a brand asks for removal of their content for certain regions you can keep content that contains their brand but isn't directly titled with that brand. I put the brakes on this now so DTG can fully concentrate on the release of TS2016 without having “an angry community” playing in the background. I hope they focus on getting the final bugs out and make sure the transition to 2016 will be a smooth and bug free experience for all of us. Does this mean I give up…. No this does not mean I give up. I will keep exploring ways to get DTG and BNSF back talking about this and I will keep pestering DTG for re-reinstatement of all the engines and the 2 routes we now lost. It can not be the case that we lose all these engines just because they happen to have one skin packed with them and if DTG is fair they will fix this, be it with new versions of said packs and routes or in another way. For now “Mr. Troublemaker” takes his leave but rest assured that I will keep an eye on the situation. In that regard, DTG has promised those that already have the content will keep the content. If this is not the case for you I urge you to speak out and let us know. We might not be able to get these BNSF back, we will be able to have DTG be true to their word. All the posts that make note of this promise have been saved so even if they are removed from the forum they are in my back up. I am sorry we haven't reached our goal but I am very proud to be part of this community. I wish everybody loads of fun with the upcoming TS2016, let us hope DTG will redeem itself for the previous year :) Keep running them tracks, game on Mavadelo
