Since August 18th, CyberLeek has been leaking GTA VI gameplay daily, tied to the promotion of a cryptocurrency. The build appears to be from 2025, not old footage. This means it’s real, recent content from the game that we still haven’t seen through official channels.
There’s a real risk here. If the leak keeps going, some people could end up playing a leaked build, even an incomplete one, before the fans who have trusted Rockstar for years. Many of us preordered this game without seeing a single second of official gameplay, purely because of the trust the studio has earned through years of work. It isn’t fair that this trust gets repaid with stolen leaks and a crypto scam attached, while people who never waited or paid anything get access before we do.
The Extended Look airs on Netflix on August 27th. We’re asking that, after that presentation, Rockstar seize the moment and release the game that same day.
We know a studio this size doesn’t change a release date overnight because of a petition. There are certifications, logistics, and physical production involved. But as a community, we want to make our position clear: we’d rather learn about this game through Rockstar’s official channels, not through a leak driven by outside financial interests. And if there’s any chance of moving up the release to shut that door, now is the time.
