The Issue

Released in 2003, The Simpsons: Hit & Run has become one of the most beloved licensed video games ever made.

Since this petition launched in 2016, more than 30,800 fans from around the world have supported bringing the game back. Nearly a decade later, the demand has not disappeared - the game is still regularly discussed, celebrated by fans, and featured across gaming communities and media.

Despite its lasting popularity, The Simpsons: Hit & Run has never received an official remake or been made available on modern platforms. Many fans who want to revisit this classic, as well as new players discovering it for the first time, have no official way to experience it on current hardware.

We are calling on the rights holders to bring The Simpsons: Hit & Run back with an official remake for modern consoles and PC.

A modern remake could:

  • Bring the game to a new generation of players on current platforms
  • Preserve the humour, characters, story and open-world gameplay that made the original so memorable
  • Improve visuals, performance and quality-of-life features while respecting the original experience
  • Give long-time fans an official way to return to Springfield

The continued support for this game shows that this is more than simple nostalgia. Fans continue to replay it, create content, discuss it online, and show enthusiasm for seeing it return.

This petition is a request to the rights holders: bring The Simpsons: Hit & Run back with an official remake and allow one of gaming's most memorable licensed titles to be enjoyed by both existing fans and a new generation of players.

If you want to see The Simpsons: Hit & Run return, please sign and share this petition.
