Reform Rocklin Unified School District's Sexist Dress Codes!

The Issue

Rocklin Unified School District’s dress code has been unfair and degrading to many feminine presenting people in our schools. The district’s focus on not “distracting” male students has caused their female students to miss out on class time, and feel embarrassed and ashamed about their bodies. The school targets female students in their dress code and switches back and forth on their rules, such as the rule on halter tops. Female students have also been asked to change their shorts because of their length, even though there is no rule that explicitly states this. School is a place that everyone goes to learn and they should all be treated equally— not a place to force feminine students to disproportionately miss class time due to dress-coding procedures! The current dress code rules cause unequal treatment towards female students, and they must change.

Let’s work to show RUSD that we have had enough of missing class time & feeling ashamed at school just because of our bodies. With your support, we can show RUSD that their students want change and use your voices to support this.

Please sign this petition & SHARE it to support an important cause!

If you are comfortable, we encourage all affected by these injustices to share their experiences/thoughts through this form.
