Since we last spoke, the petition has accumulated more supporters. We now have 1,815 signatures for the petition. I printed the petition and it's currently 58 pages long! I'm working on the next steps with the #SaveATP petition. I've got a call with Change.org coming up and some people involved in this issue. So please continue to share it via twitter, facebook and email it to your networks. I’m also giving a talk on technology startups on Saturday at University of Technology, Sydney (UTS). UTS is one of the partners for the ATP as well as USYD and UNSW. I’ll mention the petition at the talk to get some more interest. I expect that we can get to 2,000 signatures by Monday. I will submit it on Monday (28 September 2015) to the Office of NSW Planning Minister Robert Stokes. On Tuesday, I will be visiting ATP to meet with a contact at ATP Innovations. I will post some photos online of ATP site. I would also like to say a special thanks to Kim Heras, stalwart of the Sydney startup community. He shared the petition with the Sydney Tech Startup meetup. It is Sydney’s longest and biggest tech meetup with 4,761 members. It was the first time that an "ask" was sent to the group. You can signup to the meetup here: http://www.meetup.com/sydney-tech-startup/ There has also been support on social media from politicians. 1. Lord Mayor Clover Moore shared it on twitter: https://twitter.com/CloverMoore/status/645071153342492672 2. Deputy Leader of Opposition, Tanya Plibersek shared it on Facebook and twitter. I’ve been in touch with the media and there are more articles scheduled to come out. Thanks to journalist Caitlin Fitzsimmons and BRW for their continual coverage of this matter. It has also been covered in AFR weekend in print and on the website. #SaveATP! Matthew Ho Sydney Startups
