We are taught, "No means no," but what we need is, "YES MEANS YES."

Not hearing no does not mean yes.
Only yes means yes.

In Cammy's case, she was intoxicated, she was 16, and she was unconscious - on top of having said no earlier that evening, she did not have any ability, practically or legally, to provide consent for many reasons

A person should not have to say "no" or "stop" when they did not say "yes" or "start."

We Midwesterners are often joked about for how far "behind the times" our culture is -- it's funny when we're talking about music and trends, but it's not funny when we're talking about the very real bias of judges, courts, and communities toward "young (white) men" and the bias against "coeds and female people" and minorities.

It isn't incorrect that no means no.

It just isn't enough.

We need yes means yes.
And we need it now.
