We need to raise a minimum of $6,000 by tomorrow to secure funds for the attorney's retainer fees. We are on a time crunch due to the deadline to file with the court for civil action.

This is an important avenue to justice for us to pursue concurrent with the path outlined by the State's Attorney. If the State's Attorney's process get blocked or fails, the civil process will provide another opportunity to have the conviction reinstated and minimum sentence applied.
