Good Afternoon School Parents, Fellow Residents and Petition Supporters 

As you are probably quite well aware by now Camden Council put up new Parking Signs opposite the School. 

A Win for the School community but a loss of 20 Car Parking Spots for the Commuters.

I have to say that I am two minds about this latest development and the one thing that I have to say is that in my opinion it is just a bandaid solution to an ongoing problem - it is treating the symptom NOT THE CAUSE.

I do congratulate Camden Council for being proactive to try and help the School community but we all know that the cause of the problems in the area is the lack of Parking Spaces in and around the Station.

I will be sending an email to the Council and the local MP asking them to Contact the Minister for Transport and Infrastructure  again and ask for a Temporary Carpark to be provided the Government land on the Corner of Rickard and Byron Roads OR any other land that the government owns in the area URGENTLY.

The new signs don't address the core issue and speaking with Parents at the School yesterday there is still a concern for the Children's Safety when they are dropped off in the Mornings and picked up in the Afternoons.

I hope you will send an email also and ask ALL school parents to sign the Petition.

I will also send another email to the Education Minister about the issue and request his support in this matter.
