You’ve helped to put the Lea Oil Disaster on the agenda of parliamentarians, volunteer groups, lobbyists, the media, environmental campaigners and local councillors. And you’ve helped to stop the oil from spreading further: The Environment Agency and the Canal & River Trust have reinstalled a boom at Old Ford Lock. Of course, we want to achieve some fundamental long-term improvements as well as concrete little steps such as this one. Keep sharing the petition if you want to see cleaner rivers.
