My 17 year old senior brother, Mohammed Zubi, was in a math class asking a question when it happened. The comment caught everyone off guard, and was loud enough for other kids in the class to hear. Mohammad requested for an extension on his classwork. 

His teachers  response was, “we don't negotiate with terrorists” 

"The teacher got close to him and said 'we don't negotiate with terrorists,' knowing that Mohammed is Arab and Muslim," said senior Vuk Tomasese.

Senior student Nichoalas Velez says everyone in the classroom was mostly in shock.

Schools are a place that should foster tolerance and safety but this is not what my brother feels at this moment. 

Ridgefield Memorial High School has not only failed to apologize to my brother and family but they also only suspended the teacher. This is NOT enough as no teacher should be allowed to educate young minds when they themselves are intolerant of other peoples faiths and beliefs. 

Sign  this petition to DEMAND the immediate termination of this teacher who’s name we can not state.
