The Issue

The UN has given us 12 years before we reach the point where the effects of climate change will make our planet, our home unliveable. Ireland is currently the worst performing country in Europe when it comes to taking action on climate change.

Climate change is going to affect every single person reading this. Storms, hurricanes, drought, all of that is and will be a result of climate change. Earth is the only planet that we can live on, the only place any of us can survive. There are children in Junior Infants today who, by the time they're in TY like I am now, it will already be too late.

That's why I ask you to sign this petition and call on Richard Bruton, Minister for the Environment, to start making a change in Irish politics. To start bringing in legislation and plans to reduce Ireland's emissions, to reduce the amount that we pollute our environment and the amount of fossil fuels we consume.

If this change doesn't happen right now, it's not going to happen. This is our only chance as a species to try and save our planet. To try and allow children in our country and around the world to grow up in a liveable and safe environment, to stop us destroying our home. Sign and share this petition and make our Government start protecting our environment and do their bit.

Thank you for your support and for making a difference.
