A second Planning Application to build 50 'Units' on Hammond Ground, Whalley Road, Read has been lodged with Ribble Valley Borough Council.  Unbelievably this application has been made less than 6 months after a very similar application was unanimously rejected by the Council.

If this repeat application succeeds, this special landscape will be destroyed by bulldozers.  Far more houses than required by the Council's Planning Core Strategy would be built on this historic piece of land making that Strategy worthless.
