This morning two young cygnets were found dead on our local wetlands. We have no idea how this happened but suspect wildlife crime as they were perfectly healthy on Saturday. The area is abundant with wildlife and has absolutely no protection. Local people have watched it closely but can't be there all the time. There are often people with airguns shooting nesting birds. This can't continue. This area must be protected!
