First of all, thank you for showing support for this petition. I still cannot believe we have the support of around 900 of you who have an opinion towards Oakville's future. To make things clear, we are not against BrantHaven using this land for residential purposes, but we are opposing such dense construction and its impact on traffic & parking, as this land is in close vicinity to hospitals and various schools.
It was brought to our attention that BrantHaven has started taking applications towards the sale of townhomes on Postmaster. I reached out to counselors of The town of Oakville, and here is the response from them.
Town Planning is continuing to work with the applicant to address the matters raised at the public meeting. As shown on the website the applicant has since submitted a revised submission, but none of the plans have been finalised and there is no current set date for a recommendation meeting/report from Planning.
I checked Branthaven’s website and didn’t notice any sales currently taking place, just that they are taking registrations for anticipated future units on the site. In any case, there is nothing that they can legally sell at the moment as lots would have to be created first through a plan of condominium or subdivision process, which is not currently underway.
