Since we were last in contact, our neighbors at 267 East 202nd Street, a pain point for CD 7, have suffered a tremendous loss. Early the morning of August 11, a fire broke out displacing 4 families and severely injuring one man who escaped by jumping out a 2nd floor window. The fire raised a lot of new questions about the future of the building and the neighborhood. Also, while the building is currently boarded up and uninhabitable, please keep these families in mind if you have clothing, toys, or furniture which you are not using.
