We currently have 1470 signatures. We need 30 more to close the petition. Meanwhile, HH and the co-accused appeared in court today. The judge ordered the State to allow Mr. Hichilema and his co-accused basic rights; to visit with Lawyers at least 1 hour a day, visit by family and 5 others and move them to a proper Lusaka correctional facility. As we have continued arguing, the State clearly has no case against Mr. Hichilema, but deep rooted personal hatred for opposition. Meanwhile, while all this was going on at the Magistrate Court, Mr. Fred Mmembe was arrested at the airport. Mr. Mmembe is the owner of the now liquidated Post Newspaper that was maliciously shutdown by the government in a scheme to silence anyone providing checks and balances.
