President Edgar Lungu extends his inflamatory remarks to the hand that feeds him.

They say, "show me your friends and I'll tell you who you are". In a show of pure arrogance and a growing pride in dictatorship, President Lungu blasted the US and EU diplomats who called for tolerance, respect of Human Rights and The Rule of Law- to refrain from commenting on governance issues of Zambia and just represent their countries. It is no secret that, President Lungu is probably the only leader on the continent who has such great admiration for Robert Mugabe and Yoweri Museveni, both of whom are totalitarian dictators, they have paralyzed independent media, use police to brutalize opposition and are critical of the international community in their respective countrys' affairs. Mr. Lungu's bromance with Museveni and Mugabe has never been greener, and it is evident from his tone about the intolerance of the international community and his continued suffocation of the basic tenets of democracy, that he is learning from these two tyrants (Mugabe and Museveni) how to run a successful dictatorship.
