Congratulations! 

Bill No 34-0301, An Act repealing section 2 of Act No. 8569 relating to the definition of agricultural processing plant, HAS SUCCESSFULLY PASSED!! 

Thank you, thank you, thank you! To all who made calls, wrote emails, posted, shared, everything! A HUGE effort went into organizing behind all of this and the organizers and community have a lot to be happy for! 

Thank you to all 15 senators for voting in the affirmative! And a special thank you to Senator Whitaker for sponsoring this bill on behalf of the community and jumping on this first. You can see the hearing here (starting at 9:33:08)

There were some last-minute changes to the original bill (removing the whereas clauses at the last minute). But most importantly, we saw our lawmakers work together to right a wrong.

Moving forward, there is still a destructive short-term high-tech agricultural model permanently damaging our priceless Frederiksted coastline. Before we close out this petition, we want to make sure we can contact you regarding this.
