Below is an email we received today regarding our complaint to the Blacc Awards regarding Afua Rose. We have not harassed the Blacc Awards we have simply brought to their attention Afua's online conduct and activities. We sent them three emails, including one informing them of the petition. We will continue to highlight her award from them and their continued support of her.
Seasonal Greetings Ms. Kennedy,
Wishing you well.
We’d like to express our sincere gratitude to you and your team for the petition which we received from another source earlier today; your efforts in promoting and publicising our organisation have not gone unnoticed, and we are truly grateful for your support.
Having said that, whilst we sympathise with your continued engagement with this issue, we kindly request that you and your team cease any further contact with us in relation to Ms. Rose.
We believe in open dialogue and respect for differing opinions, but the persistent nature of these communication is starting to feel like harassment, and it’s important for both parties involved to maintain a fair and respectful exchange of information. To ensure a more comfortable environment moving forward, we kindly request that you refrain from any further communication on this matter.
We’d like to draw your attention to the ‘Protection from Harassment Act 1997’ and the ‘Telecommunications Act 1984’. As stated in these acts, continued unwanted communication, especially after a request to cease contact has been issued, will be considered as harassment and we will take the matter further, however, we hope it does not come to that, and we encourage a respectful resolution to this matter.
We're open to liaising with the appropriate authorities, including the police, as we have stated on several occasions.
We’ve now taken the precaution of blocking your email address (and any other email address) using our algorithms in relation to 'Ms. Afua Rose' to further avoid any unwarranted communications.
Thank you once again for your support, we wish you the best with your petition, and we hope you receive an amicable resolution to your situation.
Kindest regards,
Dexta Goldman
