
Request all to support the petition to reach GST Council meeting scheduled for 1st week of September 2025. The reform, often referred to as “GST 2.0,” will be one of the biggest changes since the tax was introduced in 2017. The key idea is to simplify the structure and rationalise the process.
Our demand is to treat the maintenance services provided by a Resident Welfare Association or Apartment Owners Association AOA, to its own members are exempt from GST under the doctrine of mutuality since they are differently from ordinary recreational / cultural associations and other professional clubs.
Incidentally, exempting from GST, will not result in any significant loss of tax revenue in as much in the common expenses recovered by the Apartment Associations
