Racism is an abhorrent act. It has come to our attention that Frank Hester, who holds the honour of an Order of the British Empire (OBE), has made racist and despicable comments towards Diane Abbott MP. Such behaviour is unacceptable and does not represent the values that an OBE should embody.

The Order of the British Empire recognises contributions to arts and sciences, work with charitable organisations, and public service outside civil service. It should be held by individuals who demonstrate respect, integrity, and a commitment to bettering our society - not those who promote hate speech or discrimination.

Frank Hester's actions are a clear violation of these principles. His derogatory remarks have caused harm not only to Diane Abbott MP but also contribute negatively towards race relations within our community.

We call upon the Honours Forfeiture Committee to review this case thoroughly. We urge them to consider whether someone with such disregard for basic human dignity should continue holding such a prestigious honour.
