Petition updateRevitalize the Humber River - No Lease Renewal for THYCUpdate and more bullying from THYC members & yet more proof THYC must go!

Hello fellow petition supporters.

I hate to say it but it seems the final notice of the end of Toronto Humber Yacht Club's lease has been pushed a month.

We were hopeful the Staff Report which includes the recommendation to end THYC's lease would be presented to the General Governance Committee in September but instead it has been pushed to Thursday October 23 for review and then to city council to be voted on November 12-14. Fingers crossed this schedule stays in effect.

The agenda for the General Governance Committee will be published one week before October 23, at this point members of the public can request to depute in front of the committee regarding the Staff Report's findings. I'll be sure to send out an update letting you all know when this happens.

On another note, it would appear at least one member of THYC has found my business page on google maps and had done her bit to try to harm me financially. I'm not really too fussed about Lisa Piovesan's efforts (if she in fact has the integrity to post under her own name) as I've been in business for over 20 years. However, her effort does provide even more evidence of how THYC and their club members treat the public . When the club doesn't get it's way, their members bully and abuse community members in hopes of scaring detractors away.

With luck, they will only be around for another few months and then the community and river users will be safe from their threats etc.

In the meantime, please continue to share our petition and email city stakeholders letting them know you support the decision to end THYC's lease on the public land they occupy. Thank you again for your continued support!
