To all petition supporters,

Please forward our petition to all family and friends and ask for their support. If you have time please email the stakeholders listed above to ask them to do the right thing and reject Toronto Humber Yacht Club's 20 year lease request.

THYC's current lease expires on July 31, 2025. City staff will soon be submitting their recommendations to either extend or reject the lease for 20 years. This is the only chance we have to ensure the natural habitat the Humber Ravine provides urban wildlife is protected and to end the unsafe/dangerous operation of THYC's JetSkiers on the Humber River.

In the mean time, a board member with THYC has been contacting me trying to gaslight me regarding their many infractions of Environmental Regulations and trying to deflect blame for their members unsafe use of watercraft to other boaters on the river. We have plenty of evidence to refute both of these claims.

As this fellow is contacting me, it stands to reason he is also contacting the city so it's vital that we as concerned citizens make sure our voices are heard and taken into account.

It addition, it's likely THYC will engage an attorney, if they have not already done so, to approach the city to try to bully the city into renewing their lease for 20 years. I believe this to be the case because they have used this tactic in the past when the city raises concerns about safety issues involving club members and invariably the city caves when contacted by THYC lawyers without fully investigating the publics' complaints.

The only way to beat THYC's bullying tactics with city politicians, staff and bureaucracy its to let the stakeholders know the publics concerns are just as strong and valid if not stronger and more valid than THYC bully's whims.

Thanks again for your support!!!

PS The picture above is a Trumpeter Swan family currently living on the Humber River and below it is a THYC JetSkier speeding down the river without a care. It should be noted the Toronto Conservation Authority & TRCA are working hard to increase the Trumpeter Swan population in Toronto at the same time THYC is intent on destroying the natural habitat of within the Humber Ravine while it's members terrorize wildlife on and along the Humber River with their careless speeding up and down the river.
