Hello to all supporters.
I'm sending along my latest letter to the stakeholders involved in reviewing THYC's 20 lease request.
The image above shows the previous position of THYCs "gas dock" the green dot shows via GPS coordinates how far the "gas dock" now extends into the Humber River today.
Please forward this petition to anyone you might know who would support our efforts to have the city reject THYC's 20 year lease request.

Hello to all,
Although I do appreciate the time Councilor Morley's staff spent listening to my concerns regarding THYC's lease being extended for another 20 years on August 1, 2025, I must say I left feeling like I heard nothing from them but political speak, misdirections and lack of accountability.
This with the absolute silence from city bureaucrats (Thomas, Lauren, Joseph) and representatives from TRCA (Johanna) combined with the complete disregard for public safety THYC continues to demonstrate (even knowing they face overwhelming public objections to their lease being renewed) is leaving me with the strong impression the THYC Commodore is 100% correct when he assures his club members their lease has already been renewed.
How else can you explain why THYC felt it was within their rights to extend their "gas dock" nearly twenty feet into the body of the Humber River such that it now blocks a full third of the river. This creates a dangerous bottleneck at a sharp turn in the river which novice paddlers renting from Toronto Adventure Tours must navigate at the start of their course down the river. Combine that bottleneck with the unsafe JetSki operators who call THYC home and we now have a situation ripe for serious injuries.
I'm attaching a photo of the river which shows the previous "gas dock" positing with a green dot which indicates via GPS coordinates where the "gas dock" now extends.
I'm also including photos of the "gas dock" to give you a sense of just how large they have made it this year.
I'm hoping I'm not screaming into the abyss yet again and that one of you will take the time to look into this situation and then get back to me letting me know how you will correct it.
Regards,
Jason Sills
