Hello everyone, 

As we all know that the UGC Non-NET Fellowship has not been revised for over 15 years, leaving the PhD Scholars in struggling situation. The current fellowship of Rs 8000 is not enough for even the bare minimum expenses. In the last several years, the inflation has increased much. But there has been no revision in the fellowship amount.

Where on the other hand, other fellowships have been revised multiple times, sometimes it feels that the students receiving UGC Non-NET Fellowship are being intentionally ignored by the Government. 

Despite of multiple representations by the students at various levels, the Central Government is not listening to our demands.

The negligence by the government is leading to compromise in the research quality. The PhD scholars are feeling burdened, and there is a direct impact on the mental health as well.
