Revise the Restrictive Policies at Cypress Park High School

The Issue

As a committed member of the Cypress Park High School community, I've witnessed first-hand how our school has changed negatively in a matter of days  – from a place of pride and unity to a setting that increasingly feels restrictive and stifling while walking into the building feeling unwelcome. Our beloved school now resembles a prison more than a nurturing environment for learning. This draining atmosphere tolls heavily on our students, dimming their spirit and hindering their growth. We no longer regard our school as an enjoyable environment or a safe place to be ourselves. We deserve better.

Without a doubt we know where our school has its faults but with reconsideration maybe we come up with better reasonable expectations and solutions. Cypress Park High School, with its new rules, is unfortunately treading this detrimental path. Instead of fostering independence and critical thinking, we are teaching our students obedience to arbitrary constraints.

Significant stakeholders of our school – the students, faculty, parents, and local community of Cypress – unite in this concern. We implore the educational leadership to revise the recent rules so that our school once again becomes an institute of inspiration and empowerment, rather than suppression. We believe in a Cypress Park High School that nurtures its students' growth in an environment that upholds their individuality and freedom.

Every signature on this petition sends a strong message - we care about our school, its spirit, and its students. Let's reclaim the vibrant environment of Cypress Park High School because our students deserve an atmosphere conducive to learning, growth, and innovation. Please sign this petition today and support the change for a better, more open Cypress Park High School.
