Hi there. Many appologies for the delay in updating you all – it’s been a very hectic week here and I just haven’t managed to do an update.
Firstly, I must thank change.org for their continuous help in raising awareness of our campaign. Last weekend they wrote a powerful article about our campaign and Lorraine Allaway’s campaign, who lost her dear husband Bob last year, also to a drunk driver. Please take a moment to look at the link below if you haven’t already seen it, and if possible sign Lorraine’s petition as well (if you haven’t already done so). Both of our petition links are in this article.

During the past week or so, we have been busy distributing our posters and flyers, mainly locally, and we thank everybody who has helped us or offered to help us in doing so. I have also had quite a few enquiries from people all over the country asking if I can send them a printable version so they can print them out and display them locally. I shall look into this during the next few days. I shall keep you updated. If you have a shop/cafe/business/public display board and you wouldn't mind putting one up for a little while then that would be greatly appreciated!
I have also been contacted by a couple of journalists this week, who write for well known women's magazines. They are keen to publish our story and print details of our campaign. I was unsure about doing this to begin with, but this publicity will push our petition further and hopefully we will get many more signatures because of it. They will appear at the end of this month I'm told.
Last but not least – Thank you all for your continuous support. The petition has now reached a fantastic 88,800 and this is a direct result of your generous shares on line, displaying of posters and by simply sharing verbally with family and friends. Thank you so much.
We are aiming for 100,000 + signatures by the end of October. This is a big challenge but we are determined to reach this figure and then we shall take it to Downing street.
I shall keep you updated as things progress.
Kindest regards and many thanks again for taking a moment of your time to read this update.
