The issue regarding the limited dog and cat ownership ordinance was presented to Montrose city council Tuesday Aug. 6th. I was allowed 3 minutes to state my case and there was no comment or discussion. I also presented the petition and the signatures that I had obtained so far.

The update is:  Monday Aug. 19th at 10am the subject of the dog and cat ordinance will be discussed by  city council at a "working meeting". I do not know if this a framing meeting (creating a new ordinance and its content) or just a vote to say "yes or no" to look into possibly changing the ordinance.... at some point.

I'm happy to say that the petition was signed by 236 people so far and viewed by 2900. Hopefully we have enough support to encourage city council to change an ordinance that just doesn't make much sense. Thank you again for your support! Brett
