Revert the "Midnight Blue" Crayola Crayon name to its Original "Prussian Blue".

Revert the "Midnight Blue" Crayola Crayon name to its Original "Prussian Blue".
The Issue
I write this petition from a personal connection. My German heritage has always been essential to my identity, and and my love for the colour Prussian Blue is the perfect example. For it's historical implications the name "Prussian Blue" originated from the colour of the traditional Prussian army uniforms, a reflection of Prussia's pivotal role in uniting Germany. A small crayon carried this historical reminder. However, the "Prussian Blue" Crayola Crayon name was altered to "Midnight Blue" in the 1950's, due to most of Prussia falling behind the wrong side of the iron curtin.
Changing the name from "Prussian Blue" to "Midnight Blue" isn't merely a modification of the name. It's erasing a piece of historical information that could initiate discussions about history with young children. By using the "Prussian Blue" crayon, kids are granted a unique opportunity to learn about German history and culture that crosses beyond mere shades.
Thus, the essence of this petition is not just about restoring the original name of the crayon, but about ensuring that we don't oversee the chance to imbue children with historical understanding in everyday life, as we don't live in a time where Prussia's historical lands are delicate subject.
For the appreciation of history, for the realization of the influence of seemingly little things in education, I, and hopefully many others, call upon Crayola to restore the "Prussian Blue" name to all of their products (not just crayons) that currently include "Midnight Blue." Please sign our petition to bring back "Prussian Blue". And if you'd want to, please share this with your friends.
