Reverse the Wrongful Conviction of Kara Garvin

Reverse the Wrongful Conviction of Kara Garvin
The Issue
On the tragic night of December 22, 2008, three people were brutally murdered in their rural Green Township home near Franklin Furnace and Wheelersburg in Scioto County, Ohio. That same evening, an unsuspected woman named Kara Garvin was arrested and charged with these heinous crimes. When the courts ruled their judgement, Kara ended up with a conviction which led to her imprisonment in an Ohio Women's prison. Today, we stand united in our belief: Kara Garvin has been wrongfully convicted.
This is more than just a matter of one individual's life. Innocent people being jailed is a grave error in our justice system. According to the National Registry of Exonerations, the number of wrongfully convicted individuals in the U.S. has risen over the past five years, with over 2,400 people being exonerated since 1989 (National Registry of Exonerations, 2021). Innocent yet punished, Kara represents a dishearteningly large number of such cases.
We are dedicating this petition to enable the full disclosure of the events of that brutal night, the consequent investigation, and the trial that ensued. We believe that Kara's case needs a fair and balanced reassessment. We implore the concerned authorities and decision-makers to revisit her case and reconsider the evidence. Let justice prevail, free of prejudice and heresy.
Join us by signing this petition. Stand with Kara, and against all forms of wrongful conviction. Justice delayed is justice denied, and it is high time that Kara Garvin's case is treated with the truth and fairness it deserves. Please, sign this petition today.
