Reverse Martin Fowler's Death in Eastenders or Rename the Queen Vic "The Fowler"

The Issue

I have been an avid fan of Eastenders for the past 30 years, faithfully following each gripping storyline. It was a shock, to say the least, that during the celebratory 40th anniversary episode, one of our beloved characters, Martin Fowler, met his untimely demise. This decision has greatly saddened many of us dedicated viewers who have grown attached to the character over the years. In fact, Eastenders has a large following, with an average reach of 5-6 million viewers per episode in the UK alone (Radio Times, 2020). This measure suggests that such a drastic change is not trivial but affects a substantial number of people on an emotional level. Therefore, we implore the creators either to rewrite Martin Fowler's death or, as a fitting tribute to a character who has been crucial to the show from its early years, to rename the Queen Vic "The Fowler" after its reconstruction. Please sign this petition to show solidarity with fellow fans and to make our collective voice heard.
