As students who have personally experienced the Elevate-You course, we have found it to be unstimulating and filled with unnecessary assignments that failed to further our learning. Many of us find that the course content does not stick, implying a lack of effective teaching methodology and relevance to what we truly need for our personal and professional development.

The World Economic Forum reports that students' engagement significantly improves when they find their courses to be useful, engaging, and align with future career requirements (World Economic Forum, 2020). Currently, the Elevate-You course lacks these critical components, and therefore, fails to live up to its purpose.

We are not asking for the program to be totally abolished, but rather for an improvement and a repurposing of the course structure and content. We request a thorough review of the course to include lessons that are impactful, relevant, and stick with the students long after the course is over. We need our voices to be heard and our education to be impactful.
