The Issue

◾Petition by: Zaki AbuHemeida – Protected Person in Canada since August , 2024

◾Target: Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC)

◾Goal: Expedite Permanent Residency and reunify my wife and five children with me in Canada

◾My name is Zaki AbuHemeida, and I am a father, husband, and refugee from Gaza.

I live in Canada, recognized as a protected person since August , 2024 — but while I am physically safe, my heart is breaking every day.

I am pleading with you to help me reunite with my wife and five young children, who are living in Egypt after fleeing the war in Gaza.

They are undocumented, have no access to school, healthcare, or basic safety, and live every day in fear to live with there father.

My wife has been battling cancer since 2017 without treatment.

My daughter Mira, age 7, suffers from trauma so severe she cannot attend school.

They are not surviving — they are waiting to be rescued.

🇵🇸 In Gaza, My Family Faces Genocide.

In Canada, I Face Psychological Collapse.

My elderly parents and siblings remain trapped in Gaza, under constant bombardment and famine.

On June 4, 2025, my younger brother Khaled was killed by a drone strike while searching for food ,he left a 3 kids under 8 years old with there mother.

His body still lies under rubble — unreachable, unburied.

Here in Canada, I work as a food delivery driver and send everything I can to support my family that live in A food war.

But the emotional pain is unbearable, I suffer from:

-Severe depression, anxiety, and PTSD

-Suicidal thoughts and emotional shutdown

-Over 20 kilograms of weight loss from stress and guilt.

The trauma of watcing my family suffer while I deliver food in safety.

💔 This Is Not Just an Immigration Case — It’s a Humanitarian Emergency

I am respectfully asking Canada — a country I love for its humanitarian spirit and values — to help me:

✅ Expedite my Permanent Residency

✅ Issue emergency visas or family sponsorship for my wife and five children

✅ Allow me to provide safe haven, care, and stability for the ones I love

✊ Why Your Signature Matters

This petition is not just about my family.

It is about standing for human dignity, compassion, and the unbreakable bond of family.

Please sign and share this petition to show IRCC and Canadian leaders that no one should be left to suffer alone while their loved ones are in danger.

Help me reunite with my family.

Help me save their lives.

Help me survive with them — not mourn them from afar.

🙏 Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Zaki
